Rural Works Department is one of the major engineering departments of the state. This department takes up all the developmental works such as rural link roads, soil conservation schemes, building works, construction of suspension bridges etc, since the inception of the department.
Bihar became the first state in India to have separate web page for every city and village in the state on its website www.brandbihar.com (Now www.brandbharat.com)
